The Sea Between Us was filmed in Lesvos, Greece at the start of this year. It portrays some of the women, men and children journeying across the Aegean Sea, seeking refuge and lives of less precarity and the reflections of those working in solidarity with them. After the film there will be a 12 minute sequence entitled The Border that reflects the devastating impacts of border closures and the narratives of some of those now stuck in limbo in Idomeni, Greece.Caoimhe Butterly (Director/Producer), Marcelo Biglia (Cinematography), Tristan Hutchinson (Editing) and Killian Fitzgerald (Post Production Sound) / 2016 / 47 Minutes
Infiltrators is a visceral and haunting “road movie” that chronicles the daily travails of Palestinians as they seek routes through, under, around, and over a bewildering matrix of barriers erected by Israel in the West Bank/Jerusalem area, including the 7-meter-high wall. Filmmaker Jarrar follows this high stakes “game” of cat and mouse with a handheld video camera.Jarrarʼs raw debut documentary was a standout success at the 2012 Dubai International Film Festival.Winner:
- Muhr Arab Documentary Prize, Dubai International Film Festival
- Special Jury Prize, Dubai International Film Festival
- Best Director, FIPRESCI Documentary, International Critics’ Prize, Dubai International Film Festival
