Abraham Phelan, the head chef behind the famous Silk Road Café in the Chester Beatty Library, will be hosting a Palestinian cookery lesson on Saturday 11th July in the Silk Road Kitchen, Kimmage as part of PalFest Ireland. Abraham has more than 40 years of experience in cooking Middle Eastern and Mediterranean food and he has had several restaurants in Greece and Ireland. Places at the cookery lesson are restricted to 15, so please book early to avoid disappointment. The lesson will explore the flavours and textures of Palestinian cookery which is such a vital and vibrant part of the culture and way of life of Palestine. The class will include traditional Palestinian brunch recipes such as hummus, falafel, baba ganoush and shakshoka.
